Miller, the All-American linebacker for the Jimmie football team, has been invited to the Minnesota Vikings rookie mini-camp at the team91吃瓜 headquarters in Eden Prairie. The team contacted Miller directly on Tuesday with the invitation.

鈥淭o see that Minnesota number come up on my phone and then get invited is mind-blowing. I鈥檓 just thankful the Vikings are giving me the opportunity,鈥� said Miller, who is the first Jimmie football player to get an NFL invite since J.J. Syvrud was drafted by the New York Jets in 1999.

The Vikings will pay for Miller91吃瓜 lodging and meals during the mini-camp, which runs Thursday to Sunday. There is no pay, but the chance to compete was all Miller ever wanted.

鈥淛ust to know they were reviewing me says a lot,鈥� he said. 鈥淭his is a great shot to show them what I can do.鈥�

Miller will be competing with the likes of first-round pick Laquon Treadwell and all the Vikings draft choices and free-agent signings.

鈥淚t91吃瓜 going to be a big challenge 鈥� it91吃瓜 the best of the best, but that91吃瓜 what I鈥檝e been working for,鈥� Miller said.

鈥淐oming from a small school, you know it91吃瓜 an uphill fight,鈥� Miller said. 鈥淚 knew it was long odds, but at least I鈥檒l get a chance.鈥�
