DPT Direct Entry

Direct Entry offers motivated students a streamlined path to secure early admission into the 91³Ô¹Ï Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. This opportunity is available to incoming freshmen as well as current UJ students who plan to pursue a career in physical therapy. While many Direct Entry DPT students major in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, exercise science, or nursing, applicants from other majors are also encouraged to apply.
Admission Criteria + How to Apply

Interested incoming freshmen must meet the following criteria:
- Acceptance to the 91³Ô¹Ï
- High school transcripts showing minimum 3.00 GPA (4.00 scale)
Application Process
- Fill out the
- Complete the Essential Function Form.
- The Essential Function Form will appear once you have submitted your Application for Direct Entry, above.
- Please read the form completely and submit, as this is a binding certification that you meet the requirements of the program at the time of signing.
- Submit 2 letters of recommendation from a non-family member.
- Recommendations can be attached in the Application for Direct Entry, above, or can be emailed directly to riley.spenningsby@uj.edu
- Complete an interview.
- Your interview will be conducted by a 91³Ô¹Ï DPT admissions representative after all documents listed above have been submitted and reviewed.

- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00
- Minimum prerequisite GPA of 3.00 (4.00 scale)
